NFG, EISLEY and Mute Math!!

Monday night i went to the New Found Glory show because, Sherri from Eisley is married to Chad in NFG , so i knew she would be there! Sure enough the minute my dad and i walked into the Norva Garron, Weston and Stacy from eisley walked by and stood in the back to watch the show, i was like score! I stood by them the whole show! haha i talked to them, then their dad came up to me and remembered me from e mails and whatnot. Then NFG started and they were really good very entertaining! Here is a funny story Boyd (eisley's dad) told me...

Monday a group of 3 NFG fans (girls) approached IAN, the bass player inquiring about Eisley: "hey... I was just curious - is that band "Eisley" going to be on stage tonight with y'all because... if they are, i want a refund... I didn't drive all the way from Louisiana to hear them... that band is freaking creepy. " She said much more but i won't elaborate. The most salient comment was when she referred to Sherri as an "inbred". Ian promptly said, "back-Off... you're RUDE". But that wasn't enough. She couldn't leave it alone. Later, in the mall, she recognized Michael Bethencourt and approached him; asked the same question... and reinforced how creepy Eisley was and how she hated their voices and harmonies and just creeped her out... Michael said, "I dunno if Sherri is singing or not but you should really be nice... you're talking about my good friends here". She left, came back... tried to say she didn't mean to dis' his friends, but just hated the band... etc... she kept digging in deeper; "I just can't stand that creepy band". Michael was like... "look, I don't care what you think about the band, but you need to back off... they're really nice people. She finally admitted to him: " well, once I talked to Chauntelle... and she was actually really nice"... to which Michael replied... "oh, wait... but you said they were all so creepy...". She kept reiterating the same point over and over again. He finally just said, "look... I just don't care what you think".

Later, the news of this spread to Chad and NFG, Eisley, Mute Math and beyond. Everyone was laughing in amazement. She called them "INBREDS?!! O my gosh! So, Chad was like - "If I see her tonight, I'm going to kick her out of our show..." He didn't, of course, but in the middle of NFG's show - guess who popped out on stage to sing with Jordan on, "It Ain't Me"? You got it - that creepy Eisley girl. It was no surprise to me that Chad introduced his wife by saying, "Before the show, one of our fans said she wanted her money back if the creepy eisley girl was going to sing... and called her an "inbred". So... if you're out there, you can go get your money back and leave....". (massive clapter outbreak preceded)

Sherri was pretty crazy on stage right?

btw - the cover song was actually quite awesome and Sherri's performance was dazzling.

So.... fast forward. After the show, i was hanging out talking to boyd - when Sherri walked up. We were talking about nothing much when Sherri's eye caught the mean girl (herself) with her sister and friend started walking toward us. Sherri honestly wanted to scamper creepily off, but it was too late. She even tried to hide behind me and her dad. The pack of NFG femme's made a b-line right to her. AhhHHAAHH!!

Sherri is in the yellow, the mean girl is in the green and chad is the guy standing next to Sherri...i don't know who this other guy is...random! haha
The girl who had said the super rude things was coming to confront. Intense. I backed off... but heard her words: "I just wanted you to know that I apologize... i didn't mean those things... i mean, i was just joking.... I say things sometimes and later think... why did I say that..." .

Gracious Sherri consoled her - repeating, "it's ok... it's ok... I told Chad not to say anything from stage... we all just thought it was funny." The kept trying to apologize...saying, "i just feel so bad... I didn't really mean it... i mean, i just... i don't know what i was thinking..." Sherri kept saying "it's ok... it's ok..." The girl was shaking and in tears.

Then Chad walked up and she said her whole speech over again...." I didn't mean it.... I just say dumb things sometimes... I apologize..." etc. Chad said (smiling), "hey... it's ok, but... honestly, it's not like you can just say I didn't mean it. I mean, you have to realize when you say things... you're talking about a real person. I'm a real person with real feelings... and you're talking about my wife - who's a real person... with feelings. You can't just go around saying whatever you want - then later come back and say, "oh, i didn't mean it... It's ok and all... ". But the girl just kept saying the same things over and over again... "I apologize"...wiping away tears. Chad and Sherri were both saying, it's ok...it's ok... we forgive you..." (hugs).

anyhow i thought it was SO FUNNY! and having Sherri tell you the story is way better! haha here is the picture chad took of us before the mean girl walked up! haha

Then i went home, went to bed ...ect then the next day was EISLEY'S show! yeah!! Sherri thought i was pretty nifty!

here are some pictures!

That is sooo cool. I can't believe that you get to interact with your favorite band so much. It's, like, every persons dream. And, how neat is it that they recognized you?! You're, like, their fan! I think it's great.

For the record, I've never heard of Eisley (except from you) so I'm going to watch your video's and listen to their music. I tend to like girl singers so maybe I'll come to the next concert with you.

Oh, I almost forgot, that was so sweet of them to be kind to that girl. And honest. I'm sure it's a lesson she'll not likely forget.

Hope you're doing well.

So funny... I've had a few 'counseling sessions' myself at the Norva... drama! It was when David and I hated each other....or really, I just hated him... anyway.
Sounds like Dr. Phil should set up a sidewalk stand right out front.

Glad you had fun sis! Love you!

Reaghan - you're so cool. Hanging out at the Norva with all the bands! You go, girl!

And yes, I remember those Norva days with Jess. I was the one trying to direct her away from potential conflict. Wasn't very successful ;)
